The 13th Annual Ladies Tea

'Let the Nations Rejoice' was the theme of the RMA Ladies Tea in 2011'  Focusing on women from all over the world honor was given to different nations and the role women play culturally.

We can use our talents and abilities as a voice to tell them about the Gospel of Good News!  Love prevails!

Special music and messages inspired the attendees to play their role in the Greatest Story in the World.

RMA Roundtable

The RMA Roundtable of Role Models planning the year's events and how each one can impact our communities positively.

Speaking and listening, each one gives impute how this year  each one can influence the world for good.

From the senior women to the youngest, each one is listened to and their words carefully weighed.

Goal setting... plans for personalized growth....leadership building skills are sharpened.

Learning, training, and becoming a Role Model is a process of growth and desire.  Each one plans on helping others as a life long goal in life.

RMA Diva Day 2010

Diva Day was all about raising awareness for Breast Cancer Survivors and Moms Against Hunger.  It was a day filled with encouragement, strength, shopping, fun and activities for the whole family to enjoy. 

Role Model Jennifer (back row-pink flower in her hair)  made this day happen.  This was her 2010 event and she did a fine job along with all of the team!

Role Model Carla who is a breast cancer survivor herself was the hostess at the Information Center encouraging women to become informed and to take better care of themselves. You might be surprised to know how many women are so afraid of breast cancer they won't even read or learn about it!

A Make a Card Center was here and anyone could set down and make a card to be given to a woman currently going through treatment.

What a great way for women to support women in their greatest hours of need.

 

So many vendors.... and lots of personal stories about family members, friends and neighbors who have been touched by breast cancer.

 

Diva Day is coming!!!!

This event is for every woman and teen girl... come for a fun day of surprises and pampering created just for you!!!

RMA Ladies 2010 Showcase

The Ladies Showcase night was an awesome night of fun, education and inspiration for each lady and teen girl that attended.  Wow what talent and creative abilities!

 

Everything from decorating for fall, cooking ideas, fashion tips, spiritual values and relationship details were covered.  All aspects were covered with interesting teachers and learning was loaded with laughter and fun!

These Role Models really had their 'act together'!!! 

2010 RMA Tea

Some of the Role Model Leaders who worked so hard to make this day so special.

 

Pastor Angela was the RMA Director over this event and she coordinated all of the many details that it takes  to make all of this happen.  She did a awesome job!

Role Model Deborah was the Master of Ceremonies and skillfully wove every part of the Tea together smoothly.

 

Guest singer Christine sang and Shawna did an interpretive dance to the song, 'Alabaster Box' - it was beautiful......

 

Dr Gayla was the keynote speaker.. she spoke on the  Mary and Martha Principals of Living.

 

Role Model Carolyn made a presentation for Moms Against Hunger and a collection was taken up for this important need.

Every woman, teenage young woman and little girl had a wonderful time.

 

The Mysterious Woman

January 17, 2010 will be a fantastic meeting for women of all ages.  You are invited!  It will be held at the Palace Theater 2104 Underwood LaPorte Texas  at 6pm.  This very special service is held for women only and will last approx 2 hours.  This is the Year of the Woman and it will be informative, powerful and insightful.  Why not start your new year right and come join us for a unforgettable evening.

2009 Proverbs 31 Craft Day 2

Craft Day continued....

Fun decoupage projects were being done by youth and adults alike. 

A variety of boxes and frames were completed - now all ready for next month.

This year we will have something new.....  'shabby chic' room dividers. It's an idea I had... hope this is a good one.Scott completes them and then sands them down for the certain look and feel of these - previous closet doors now beautiful dividers.

Turning old furniture into refreshed pieces is my plan.

Decorating... gluing... sanding... painting... stapling... arranging... amongst laughter and good conversations all day long.  What a fun time we all had.

Many floral arrangements along with wreaths for Fall, Christmas and home decor were created.

Lunchtime came and we stopped for a buffet style lunch. 

At the end of the day, all the crafts are done.  And the last of the day involves the coordination of all the RMA leaders to carefully pack, and transport everything to our storage place (across town) come back and clean up the Gym.  This effort all by itself takes planning and divisions of people. Tables are all put back in their positions, trash is taken out, and the gym floor is swept.  When we all leave it is transformed back into the regular gym.  No event is an success without this part being done well.  

This event was led by Deborah and her team - she did an excellent job.  And all these beautiful things are now ready for the next month's event and the leadership of Angela's team.  Can't wait! This part of the Fall Festival is prepared.

2009 Proverbs 31 Craft Day

It's taken many weeks of planning for the team leader over this event.  And a entire year of gathering from RMA donations to make this day happen.  And it was a great day of fun, good fellowship and quality crafts were created by the many hands together.Some got there and set right down and went to work, others came as a part of their days activities.

There was a whole line of seamstresses making pillow sets.  And another one stuffing them.  They turned out some beautiful work.

Tiny little angels were created and are ready for the Fall Festival next month.

Beautiful  Gift Jars of Orange Spice Tea were created, packaged and sealed.

Watches were inspected and new batteries put in them... Over a hundred at last count were done.

Furniture pieces were sanded, some painted and buffed, some recreated....
