To A Special Friend

Alone, afraid and doing wrong

Reaching out for a friend so strong.

Caught up in a web of sin

But trying to bring good within.

I opened myself to you

Hoping you would show me God is true

You didn’t force me into trying

For all you told me was, if I trust in God,

A good life I would forever by knowing.

For me, you pointed the way.

I took the path and now I will never stray.

Now life has new meaning and I feel good about myself.

In fact, I can truly say this is the best I have ever felt.

So,

Thank you my friend for all your prayers.

Thank you my friend for your open ears.

Thank you my friend for believing in me.

Thank you my for helping to set me free.

I hope you know that I’m always here for you.

I hope God blesses you in all that you do.

I hope you know how much your friendship means to me

I hope you know a true friendship you have made me see.
